Using photos from student’s cell phones, we will be creating art with an image transfer technique using matte medium.
Students will play with light and shadow techniques as they manipulate hand-crafted Kakimoto Washi Paper around a standing or hanging light pedestal of their choice.
In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to construct and experiment with depth, perspective, layering, and storytelling constructing Tunnel Books.
This workshop will cover letterform design, drawing, carving and printmaking.
Linda will instruct students on how to make stop motion animations using Legos, Playdoh, and a smartphone.
Students will explore color theory, composition and storytelling through the medium of flowers.
This workship involves sculpting a food/creature mashup; things like turtles with a burger instead of a shell, an octopus in a cone as an ice cream scoop, candy corn mice.
This workshop will teach students the basics of silkscreen.
Students will be asked to consider their own personal symbols, they'll sketch then paint them.
