n this project, students will explore the ways in which portrait photography can be used to capture the personality, emotion, story, or essence of a person. The goal will be for students to have real interactions with other people, and then to create body of work based on those experiences. In this project, you will be learning about different elements to consider when creating an effective image.

Students will be Designing For Disabilities with Kirsten Clemens of Weber Thompson & Seattle Architecture Foundation. 

This workshop will teach students to turn 2D sculptures to 3D using plaster of paris.

This workshop is a rare opportunity to quickly understand the difficulty & sheer practice it would take to be a master of this art form.

Erin Wallace will share tips and techniques for printmaking on a plate.

Students will use their favorite visual themes to apply cut vinyl in candy colors to wooden skateboard decks.

We welcome Local Painter & Sculptor Fred Lisaius to teach this painting workshop which utilizes wood panels, acrylic paint & some unorthodox painting techniques to create portraits of endangered animals.

Through iteration and using unpredictable techniques, Fiona McGuigan will guide the students through a process to push your work from representation in to abstraction.
