This month, artist and former LINK student, Zach Anderson, will lead students through a 3D laser-cutting workshop. Students will get the opportunity to explore their subconscious thoughts and then turn them into laser-cut 3D objects, giving physical form to their dreams. They’ll go about this by first thinking of a dream, identifying the shapes they saw within it and then reflecting on the emotions it evoked. Once they’ve chosen their shapes, they’ll sketch them from 3 different angles and choose their strongest. Then, using 3D modeling software and a laser cutter, they will bring these objects to the real world.
