Seattle Theatre Group (STG) is the proud owner and steward of Kerry Hall, a community arts center that showcases both the vibrant history and exciting future of arts and culture in our region. Kerry Hall cultivates creativity, connection, and community for working artists and creators across disciplines, cultural organizations and nonprofits, and anyone looking to have a memorable arts experience.
We are so excited to partner with STG this year to bring another mural to our local Seattle community! Our guest artist for this project, Valeria Ortiz, has created a design focused on the diverse range of talents and creativity that vibrate throughout Kerry Hall. The mission of this mural is to foster connection, creativity, and a sense of belonging by using art as a universal language that brings people together. On Saturday May 16th, LINK students, family, friends, volunteers, and Kerry Hall community members will come together to paint the mural with music, food, and lots of brushes!
STUDENTS: Please RSVP no later than Wednesday May 13th to confirm your participation!
TIMING: LINK students will attend from 10am - 2:00pm, and volunteers and community members will join early at 9am to help prep and prepare, and depart at 3pm to ensure proper clean up and completion.
⚠️SAFETY: Step ladders will be part of the mural painting process. There will be some parts of the mural that are possible to paint without ladders, but always make sure to follow all safety guidelines when painting.
REMINDER: We’re preparing for our annual End-of-Year Celebration and Gallery Show coming up in June! Grades 9-11, please bring 1-4 pieces you would like to submit for the gallery show. Grade 12, bring 2-6 pieces. More details will be shared directly with students and parents.
