Event Details

This is a group and an individual project at the same time. Borrowing from the surrealist exquisite corpse where the cohesive whole is made from the unseen connections between drawings, this is a large-scale painting that will be brought to life in the color and painting of each individual artist. Each artist will select a shape/canvas without the knowledge of where it will fit into the greater work. THE TASK of painting will be to paint what you wish to see in the world. This can be what you hope for the world, what you hope for yourself, or another. It can be representational aka specific things or people, or it can be abstract or it can incorporate words. You can execute your painting however you wish, as long as you are putting forth your best hope for the future. Once complete, the entire piece will be assembled and create a 16 foot long, 4 foot high vision of the world that could be.
