Event Details

In this workshop, Jovon Rossman will present students with a problem then lead them through the iterative steps of solution-based problem solving, commonly known as “Design Thinking”. Students will learn the role of empathy in design as well as methods of brainstorming. Students will practice design thinking frameworks for innovation used at Facebook, Apple, Google and AT&T and taught by IDEO and the Stanford d.School.

Through a series of divergent and convergent thinking exercises, student teams will narrow down ideas generated from peer interviews, sketching, and collaborative ideation into one viable solution. The workshop will conclude with each team presenting their prototyped solution to their peers & LINK Volunteers.
