Event Details

Color theory is a visual design element that we can use to create interest in our images. Different colors evoke different moods and emotions. So it’s important to understand how the use of colors in our images allow our viewer to connect with the story we are telling. We will work to blend a series of techniques to create dynamic visual 3D “small stage” narratives themed by color theory.

In this workshop, studies will learn how to use color theory through visual storytelling in which they compose visual narratives through food styling techniques and then capture through photography. They will compose visual color studies for 3 color theory principles: analogous, complementary, split complementary, or monochromatic. The students will be using their mobile phone or tablet cameras to capture their still life studies and printing photos for framing and hanging at our annual gallery show.
