They also talk to students about types of portfolios both physical and online. Goal is to help build confidence, bolster strengths and give vision and purpose to students. Student are then paired with a professional photographer who helps them photograph a few key pieces of their artwork and explains how to set up lighting and backdrops so student have knowledge to do future capturing on their own. Finally, students conducted an exit interview with a volunteer who is a professional talent placement recruiter. The goal of this is to demonstrate presentation and communication skills to the students, giving them a boost in confidence, practice in front of each other and trust in their abilities to speak with someone they don't know.
