HIroko Nagatomo

Japanese-born calligrapher, oil painter, installation artist, stage designer, public artist and independent curator.  Hiroko began learning Sho-Do at home from her father at the age of nine. Much later, after graduating from Musashino Art University and working for a few years as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator she found a sensei to teach her the essence of Sho-Do. When learning from this sensei, keishu Nagai, Hiroko began creating works that were inspired from old Chinese characters, nature and emotions.
